At Berris Mangan, we work as a team to provide the best service possible to clients and the community. Our emphasis on cooperation and respect, from partners to newest team members, creates an enjoyable work experience for all team members.
Our firm opened its doors as Berris Mangan and Company in 1989 in North Vancouver, BC. With the help of many friends, colleagues and former employers, Mike Berris and Patrick Mangan were able to create a foothold in the accounting industry.
In 1993, Kent Elliott joined the partnership and in 1995 the firm was renamed Berris Mangan Elliott. With a strong foundation of long time clients and team members, the firm continued to experience steady growth with a focus on serving the business owner-manager market.
In 2002, the firm merged with Shikaze Ralston Chartered Accountants, to form a new company named BME+Partners. At this time, John Galbraith and Brent Axworthy became new partners in the firm. The merger capitalized on the strengths of both organizations, creating a new, dynamic, mid-market accounting firm.
In 2005, Dino Infanti was admitted to the partnership as the firm's Tax Partner. Dino is highly experienced in technical taxation matters and is the leader of our firm's taxation practice. Dino provides services to Berris Mangan clients ensuring that they are able to gain maximum benefit from our knowledge and experience.
Early 2006 saw a progressive step for the Partnership with the purchase of their own building located in Vancouver's trendy Kitsilano neighborhood. After much consultation with long-term clients of the practice, it was also decided to re-brand the practice to the more traditional form of name, Berris Mangan Chartered Accountants. The new name and new home solidifies Berris Mangan as a progressive and leading mid-market financial advisory firm.
On January 1, 2008, the partners were pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Waslen to partner of the firm.
Today, the Berris Mangan team is made up of 7 partners and approximately 55 individuals. We are proud of our growing client base and solid relationships with long-time clients.
