Berris Mangan, Chartered Accountants is a leading Vancouver accounting and consulting firm that is recruiting a Tax Manager. The ideal candidate will be a CA that has completed or currently enrolled in Part II of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. 

Located in the heart of trendy Kitsilano, our office is within walking distance of bookstores, restaurants, cafes and specialty retailers on West Fourth Avenue as well as the scenic Kits Beach and Granville Island. As a mid sized, independent firm that services clients from a wide geographical base throughout B.C. and Western Canada, we offer a broad range of professional services, including auditing, valuation, tax consulting and review and compilation services.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in corporate tax research, consulting and compliance in a professional services firm
• Review corporate tax planning and compliance engagements
• Resolve tax related issues with clients and other staff members
• Prepare and review Canadian and US tax returns
• Ability to identify tax consulting opportunities
• Prepare, review and advise on trust tax returns
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies for various clients

Requirements:

• Be a designated CA or equivalent
• Completed or currently enrolled in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course (Part II)
• Possesses significant experience within public practice
• Excellent written and verbal communications
